I don't know whether I was supposed to be relieved that I was noticed by someone or disgusted that it was Kyuubey who found me. We talked for some time, I can't tell you what we talked about, but I gathered all of my essence and woke myself. [break][break] And I ended up here. I can bend reality to my will and destroy anything that I please. I imagine that is why Kyuubey came to me. Maybe he wanted to see if I could be persuaded to make another wish and start the cycle again. But I decided to be a merciful goddess, to bring love and joy to people everywhere, and I'll use this power to do just that. He was really good at cooking, cleaning, sewing and I just picked up little things from him. Sometimes I wish I could thank him for all that he taught me. She fought time after time to find a way to undo the wrongs that were wrought upon the world. However, she was only one girl and the odds were stacked against her from the very beginning. [break][break] She failed again and again. But she never stopped trying.[break][break] There were so many people who depended on her. So many lives that were connected to her own. If she gave up, what would happen to them?[break][break] And then it dawned on her.[break][break] Sometimes, there are people worth sacrificing your own happiness for. So she made a wish to end all those who would cause sadness and sacrifice her true happiness to bring them to salvation.[break][break] She was forgotten by everyone. Even the people she held near and dear to her heart.[break][break] In a place that no one could reach, she watched over the world and held onto the various strands of realities which eluded her grasp for so long. Once her work was complete, she fell into a deep slumber.[break][break]Even if she couldn't achieve her true happiness, she could dream of a world where it would come true.[break][break] HER NAME WAS MADOKA KANAME. When she opened her eyes, she found herself sitting in a room with other people armed to the teeth. They looked at her with mixed expressions of curiosity and fear. She wasn't sure what to make of it. It'd been so long since she'd seen or interacted with another person let alone a group of people. Outside the window, she could see the sun rising and pressed her hand to the glass to feel the warmth of its rays on her fingertips. [break][break] This wasn't her body. [break][break] It was a construct made of magic to give her form. Her true body was somewhere else, lost in the annals of time, to be used or destroyed as fate deemed fit. [break][break] She could remember the conversation held with the Incubator. How he nudged her awake and talked to her until it was time for her to go. She wasn't sure whether she was excited or disgusted to see him. But, she wouldn't have changed what happened between them for the world. [break][break] In some ways, without knowing it, Kyuubey may have lied to her and deceived her but he led her to her true happiness. [break][break] Madoka turned to face her audience and smiled, opening her mouth to recite a quote she hadn't said in so long. [break][break] "If someone tells me that it is wrong to hope, I'll tell them that they're wrong every time," she said proudly with a gleam to her eye.[break][break] This would be the start of a new story.[break][break] "How can I help you?"
