A place she could never return from. Even gods have their limits, and as she's come to learn over the course of more than a year's time, Tomodachi Island is her's. [attr="class","rcappleft2"] [attr="class","rcappleft3"] [attr="class","rcappleft4"] [attr="class","rcapplefttitle"]CHARACTER ABILITIES [attr="class","rcappleft51"] MOTHER OF ALL LIFEFaith wanes as years pass, but the deities that were feared and worshiped in ancient times do not fade because their sacrifices have grown sparse. No one thinks of Mew as a goddess. As a legendary, of course, she's noted for being one of a kind, the only being of her species, and one of near unmatched power and desirability, but humans on Pokearth don't kneel at the feet of her shrines and pray to her for mercy. (Perhaps they'd be wiser if they did.) She's the Mother of All Life, the basis on which the Original One created all other creatures, Legendaries, humans, and Pokemon alike. Not that she ever wanted to be.[break][break] LEGENDARY GIJINKAIn her normal form, Mew was one of two species of Pokemon capable of transformation, an ability that allowed she and the creature Ditto to change their shape and ability to pool into that of any other Pokemon they so chose. While Ditto were limited to what they could see, however, Mew is capable of transforming into any Pokemon it wishes. This is buffed, as well, by her knowledge of every “move” known to man. If a Pokemon – any Pokemon – can learn an ability it can use in active combat, so, too, can she. Unfortunately, these powers have been dulled from times long passed: a direct result of taking on her “gijinka” form. By forcing the soul of a young girl of its original body and moving to take the empty space, Mew now inhabits the form of a human using the alias of “Marley Elena Wallace”. While this does not make her powerless – she can still preform Pokemon “moves” and can still transform – the powers she does have are limited. Only a single limb can transform at a time, for example, and moves like Inferno or Judgment are impossible to pull off where moves like Ember or Frustration can be preformed with decent reliability. [/PTab={background-color:transparent;width:478px;height:612px;padding:0px!important;margin:-23px -3px -3px -3px;}] [PTab= [attr="class","rcapptab2"]BIO ][attr="class","rcappleft6"] [attr="class","rcappleft61"] In the beginning, there is the Original One, there are the rulers of time, space, and matter, and there is you.[break][break] Those that come before you are mighty beyond comprehension, able to shape that which they govern over without so much as a second thought. They tower over you in size and their very presence rattles you to the bone. And the Original One itself, all powerful and one thousand arms, watches over all with its all seeing eyes and its all knowing mind. There is nothing in this infant universe it has crafted that you rule, nothing that you define simply by existing. You aren't even sure what you are – just that you feel like a child trying to blend into a crowd of mighty titans. And yet there you sit, pretty and pink against a backdrop of time's earliest dragons – and Arceus dares to say that it fancies you above the other. Planets emerge from an inky canvas, an ocean of stars birthed in a single instant, reality as they'll all come to know it growing and shifting and becoming right before your very eyes, and yet, for all of the splendor of the rulers that breathed life before you and for all of the wonders of the inanimate things that have risen out of the void, it is you and you alone that form the blueprints of all life that comes to follow.[break][break] You, who holds dominion over nothing, are proclaimed as the Mother of All Life.[break][break] It doesn't feel right, even in the beginning, nor does it in any of the time that comes to pass. You are mighty, certainly, compared to the little Pichu and Pidgey that come to populate the land, but even those who don't claim a legendary status such as your self seem all the more suited for your place than you. Rapidash, after all, run much faster, and a ferocious Tyranitar can pack much more of a punch – and yes, you may fly, but Diglett, oh, how they burrow, and you can't poison another just by being in their vicinity like just about any poison-type can. In your arsenal, you hold every “move” known to Pokemon kind. But what good are you even using it for? Compared to the other legendaries, you are nothing but a mite. Compared to the infinite size of the universe, you are but a speck of dust easily forgotten in the wind. (The Pokemon that come from your genes deserve a better ancestor; you are a stain on the name of all legendaries and a failure in every sense of the word.)[break][break] i'll keep you apart deep in my heartDespite the fact that you lack anything to truly make you special, the humans recognize you as a phantom early on and make a point to contest over who will be the fortunate owner of a creature unrecorded by what they call “the Pokemon Association”. You've no idea what they mean by such things – collectors? association? fame and fortune? they're all hollow words – but you're quick to catch on that staying in one place too long risks your enslavement. For all of the thousands, perhaps millions of Pocket Monsters that litter the world, the whole lot of them seem to collectively decide that they want you; and at the same time, you decide that you want nothing to do with them. They pollute your air and your water, capture your sons and daughters and force them to do battle, and what faith you tried to put in them falls utterly flat when the passing generations only seem to grow more selfish in their ways.[break][break] You cease wandering the world, choosing instead to keep toward Kanto and it's familiar plains. (Industrialism catches up with you, and you find that Pallet Town is the only place that doesn't sting your lungs.)[break][break] Ideas of turning tail and retreating forever into your home of Faraway Island have never been more tantalizing the day you meet them, and it's only because you meet them that the ideas fail to become reality. Two boys alone in the forest: one with good intentions but a lack of wit and the other who, despite his age, seems to have an appreciation for that which is never meant to be caught. You defeat the one in red with ease, but their image stays with you long after you've fled. (It's not long until you see him again, dragged here and there by a truly obnoxious woman and a breath of fresh air compared to the thugs calling themselves Team Rocket that have been chasing you for what must be days. Despite everything, you find that you can't bring yourself to hate the three as much as you'd like. They fight their battles and win their wars – and you watch from afar, captivated for what feels like the first time in your life.[break][break] (You thank them for it later by lifting a falling airship and saving a city. These acts mean almost nothing to you, effortless and small, but the smiles on their faces tell you it was worth it.)[break][break] separate from the rest where i like you the bestThere is no guilt. You steal a little girl's body and claim it as your own, but there is no remorse for your actions or pain in your heart. After all, her kind has been trying to do the same for you for almost as long as they have existed, and in your case, you really do need what it is you've stolen. You want to see them again, the trainers who restored the faith you'd never even known you'd lost. More than that, though:[break][break] You've a mission to accomplish.
