 How could she be so foolish to start cooking something without checking to see if she had all of the ingredients for it? Staring at the simmering pot on the stove, Azura took a deep breath in through her nose and let her head hang forward in shame. Rookie move on her part. And she'd taken pride in her dishes when she'd be on cooking duty in the army.
Nothing to do about it now. After turning off the burner, she raced to grab her purse and bolted for the door. It wouldn't take that long to rush to the store and grab the few things she needed, and the food wouldn't go bad or anything if she left it to cool for a short period of time, and--
"Jean?" The name came out as a question, causing her to pause toward the bottom step of the staircase she rounded down only moments ago. Golden eyes blinked slowly, taking in the sight of the man she met only days ago at the coffee shop for a quick morning pick up.
"Oh," Azura breathed. "Do you live in sun block as well?" A fair assumption considering he happened to be there, but he could always be visiting someone else.
