She has rewritten the book of END but blacked out soon after, waking up in this new world. She has the book of END with her, and all the pages are blank inside. [attr="class","rcappleft2"] [attr="class","rcappleft3"] [attr="class","rcappleft4"] [attr="class","rcapplefttitle"]CHARACTER ABILITIES [attr="class","rcappleft51"] ABILITY NAMELucy is a human, but she's a celestial spirit mage, meaning she can call forth spirits from the celestial world to fight at her side using spirit keys. She has the keys with her, but they no longer work in the multiverse. However, she can use their power in battle in a form she calls 'star dress' form. These 'forms' give her a new appearance, and she gains the ability to use some of her spirit's power at the same time. For example, when she uses Taurus' star dress form, she gains super strength for a short period of time.[break][break] She can also use a whip with near perfect accuracy, as well as knowing general hand-to-hand combat. Lucy's large, brown eyes reflected the stars as she spoke-- something her mother mentally captured to save for later. She always wanted to see her daughter like this; bright, happy, and wondering about the world that lay just beyond their home. She wished the world for Lucy, and she wished her daughter could one day go and explore that world that she was imagining in her head.[break][break] With, of course, the right people at her side.[break][break] "They calm me. I know my - no, our - friends are up there, watching over us. The stars protect the sky while the sun sleeps. Did you know that?" The child beside her gasped in awe of the thought, all while sitting up straighter in the bed. Her mother laughed softly at the sight, wondering what was going through that little four-year-old mind of hers. A pale, ghostly hand reached up to stroke Lucy's blonde locks, and for a moment the woman pictured her daughter as a young woman; a woman she wouldn't live to see.[break][break] Lucy turned to smile at her mother, eyes shining from the lights above. "The stars shine so much brighter when you look at them, too, Mommy! I bet they know you're happy so they're happy, too! Can Aquarius sit with us? She's always frowning, so looking at the stars will make her smile for once!" The woman laughed at her response, mentally picturing the large mermaid-like spirit, Aquarius, fuming at the thought of being called from a glass of water just because a 'child wanted to look at some stars'. Then a frown crossed her lips, remembering where the celestial spirit's key had gone.[break][break] "No...Aquarius is home. Up there, with the other stars, remember? And one day, they'll protect you too, Lucy. Even when I'm not around, they will be here for you. Always remember that, alright? And when things get tough, know I'll always be in your heart." The woman's frail hand moved from Lucy's hair to her chest, a finger prodding her heart gently. Lucy frowned at the idea of living without her mother, and snuggled herself deeper into the white blankets of her mother's bed. It's where she spent most of her time, ever since she'd been sick.[break][break] "Don't say those things, Mommy...You'll get better soon! And we can all laugh together! Me, you, and the stars! Promise? You gotta promise!" Layla Heartfilia sighed, and nodded her head gently down at Lucy. How could you truly agree to a promise that you knew you could never keep?[break][break] "I promise that the stars will always be with you."[break][break] look how they shine for you[break]The house was never the same after her mother died. Before, when she was younger, Lucy could remember seeing how in love her parents were; how she would look out her window and see her mother and father walking through the garden hand in hand, with smiles on their faces and love shining in their eyes. She never thought the day would come where her father would be so cold to her.[break][break] But the day after Layla Heartfilia's death, Jude was a new man. A colder man.[break][break] Part of her expected her father to be upset. How could he not be? Losing her mother was the hardest thing she'd ever gone through, but it hadn't completely changed her. Lucy knew her mother, knew that she wouldn't want either of them moping around years after she was gone. Layla would want them to move on and be happy for the times that they had shared, and Lucy had done everything in her power to stay positive.[break][break] Her father, on the other hand...He just fell deeper in despair, and shoved himself deeper into his work.[break][break] And he'd been like that ever since. Lucy never knew what her father did, but they'd always had a lot of money so she assumed it was something hard, something she'd probably never understand. He had tried to set her up with other corporate heirs many times as she grew up, but every time she had refused to the meeting. And every time they would get into a fight. "I don't want to marry a man, Daddy! I'm thirteen! I don't even like boys! I just want us to sit in the garden and laugh like we used to with Mommy...Why can't you do that with me?!"[break][break] But he'd never answer. He would just glare at her and lock himself away in his study, leaving Lucy with the servants and the celestial spirit key her mother had given her on her deathbed. Aquarius was her only friend, and even though the spirit hated when she was called from a bathtub or a fishbowl, Lucy would always smile and thank her for being there for her.[break][break] Her life was very lonely, up until she met a certain pink-haired boy.[break][break] Any thoughts of her father were long gone when she'd run away from home. Being old enough to use her spirit keys on her own, Lucy wanted to leave and never return to the mansion she'd grown up in. Her father was no longer her father; just a man who saw her as another investment opportunity. She didn't want to use him or his money and had set off alone, hoping to find the infamous guild Fairy Tail. For years she'd read about the mage guild and their heroic deeds, and she knew that's what she wanted to do.[break][break] To have a real family who loved her and wanted to be around her...a place where she could use her magic...it sounded so perfect.[break][break] Natsu had been just another stranger in her travels to find the guild. She hadn't thought too much about him after their little run-in; as thanks for saving her from another mage's charm spell she'd bought him and his cat some food...but that was the strange beginning to a deep friendship and a life full of adventures.[break][break] If it wasn't for Natsu, Lucy might never have found Fairy Tail. She might never have found a family and people who loved her for who she truly was. She never would have met Loki or Levy or Erza or anyone. When he had grabbed her hand and told her to run, she somehow knew it was the best decision she was ever going to make.[break][break] She was going to run away and start a new life as a Fairy Tail mage.[break][break] and everything that you do[break]Before Fairy Tail, Lucy was different.[break][break] Not a bad different, either. She just thought differently about herself and the world. When she ran away from home, she took nothing with her save for a few sets of clothes and her spirit keys. As she traveled, she kept an eye out for more keys to add to her collection, but she really didn't have much money to buy them with. Hell, she really didn't have money to buy food with, either.[break][break] Instead, she relied on her sexual charms to get what she wanted.[break][break] Lucy knew she was pretty. She wasn't average and had always had a nice body without really trying for one. She wore skimpy clothes and used her chest to her advantage, because she knew she could get free things or discounted things if she pressed her boobs together hard enough. It wasn't something she was ashamed of; it was simply all she knew. Plus, she was always one for finding a great deal![break][break] But after finding Fairy Tail...something changed. She had never been one to fight for herself to get herself dirty. Why do such things when you could charm others into doing it for you? In reality she was living like the spoiled princess she had become while living under her father, but she hadn't even realized it. Not until she came to the guild, and noticed how everyone worked so hard to get where they were. They weren't using their looks or charm to pay rent and eat; they were using their magic that they trained with to get by.[break][break] She didn't want to be that spoiled princess anymore. It's why she had left home in the first place. wasn't it? To find the guild of her dreams and have a real family! But even with her newfound confidence in her own abilities over her good looks, she knew she wasn't qualified to have a place on Team Natsu, the strongest team in Fairy Tail. Really, the only reason she was even on said team was because Natsu had taken a liking to her for some odd reason...[break][break] Over time, however, that feeling of low self-confidence slowly began to give way to a stronger, more capable Lucy. She grew to love her spirits even more; not because they were 'hers' but because they were beings that loved her and would do anything for her. After meeting Loki and becoming his friend, Lucy found herself almost sacrificing her life in order for him to stay alive. She didn't even realize what she was doing in the process; she had simply come to love Loki as another member of her guild and, somewhere deep in her heart, she knew that he didn't deserve the life he was being given.[break][break] Lucy found herself becoming stronger, but not because she was dedicating her time to training her magic. She was going on missions with her friends and began learning how to protect them; whether that meant fighting or simply being around to give them advice or words of encouragement. She knew she wasn't as strong as Erza or Natsu, and she wasn't a healer like Wendy, but she knew how to help in her own special ways, ways that helped her team overcome even the worst of obstacles.[break][break] Even when the entire guild was lost and she had been the only one to survive, Lucy somehow found the strength to fight against demons who easily overpowered her when it came to magic. But because of the bonds she had with her friends, she just knew she couldn't let them win, not when she was the only one who could save them all. Even if that meant giving up her best friend, Aquarius, in the process...[break][break] All those adventures, those relationships, those hardships...they had all come together to create a stronger, better Lucy Heartfilia. Gone were the days where she solely depended upon her looks to get what she wanted. Sure, every now and then didn't hurt, but now...now she was a woman who could fight for herself and for her friends. She could protect her loved ones and be a pillar for others to lean on in their own times of need.[break][break] She was no longer a spoiled princess who needed rescuing. Lucy had become her own woman, her own self-saving queen.[break][break] and it was all yellow[break]His whole life was in the palm of her hands.[break][break] Every word. Every thought. Every action, step, emotion...His entire being was sitting her lap and it took everything in Lucy not to cry as the sheer thought of it all. That pink-haired menace, with all his quirks and habits and life-saving happiness; every heartbeat was traced into the worn pages of the leather-bound book before her and she didn't know what to do with it.[break][break] Should she open it? Keep it closed? Hide it?[break][break] "Lucy? Are you okay? Why are you crying?" From somewhere beside her on the bench she could hear Gray's voice, soft, whispering, wondering and in just as much awe as she was. But he still managed to take control of the situation, to pull her from her reverie even though she couldn't pull away her eyes. He placed a hand on her shoulder and she began to quiver, although she was trying so, so hard to keep the tears from spilling forward. What if she got the front of the book wet? Would he feel it?[break][break] Could he feel her shaking now?[break][break] "Even...even though he's just a boy...Why does it have to be like this? For Natsu?" The words came out soft at first, almost lost beneath the shaking of her body, the trembling of her lips. Her fingers gripped the edges of the book in her lap as she let out sob after sob, not caring that Gray was watching her break down. It just...It wasn't fair! Not for Natsu! He was always the one with a smile on his face and a kind word on hips lips. When he lost his father, Igneel, he didn't let it stop him from being a kind soul to those around him. He didn't let the loss of the one he loved most keep him from doing his job as a mage of Fairy Tail. He had even left them - left her - to train and get stronger afterward, because he thought he wasn't strong enough to protect his friends![break][break] And what did he get in return? "He...He's had such a hard life, Gray." The blonde stuttered out, chocolate brown eyes never leaving the cover of the tome on her lap. The large, black letters 'E.N.D.' seemed to bore a hole into her mind, eating away at all the happy memories she'd made with the pink-haired dragon slayer over the years. She could recall their first meeting; when she'd been under a Charm spell and he'd broken it with his loud voice and that annoying cat at his side. Even back then he was always smiling, even when a squadron of Rune Knights were chasing after them.[break][break] He laughed when he grabbed her hand and took her to Fairy Tail-- the guild she'd always dreamed of joining but never quite knew how to go about it. When she was faced with the biggest dilemma of her life he had just laughed it off and pulled her along for the ride; as he'd continued to do since that fateful day. Without Natsu, Lucy's life had been stagnant, boring, devoid of a family and friends she could count on. He had brought that light into her life, even when his own light was fading...[break][break] "T-To f-f-find out...about Lisanna...and l-l-losing Igneel..." The words were dry in her mouth, her tongue was thick and she could feel her breath quickening with each word. "...only to find out that Zeref is his brother..." At this she whipped her head toward Gray, tears and snot streaming down her dirty, blood-soaked face. She was tired - they were all tired from fighting in the war - and she hoped he wouldn't think less of her as she broke down before him. "He doesn't deserve this, Gray! Why?! Why!" The tears were full on now, shoulders shaking as a wave of emotion flooded through her being. Lucy grabbed the old book and held it tightly to her chest, burying her face in the top of the leather-bound pages.[break][break] She just wanted Natsu to find happiness and to be happy in return. Why did it feel like the world was so against him?![break][break] "I'll protect you this time, Natsu. I swear it."
