Through some coding magic, this one doesn't suffer from the same fate. Well, at least, not anywhere important, haha. Still, though, open threads are still going unnoticed. To compensate, a section of the skin has been set aside to highlight any open threads that you or others may have put up around the site. The attention, smack dab on the bottom of the front page, should make them more likely to gain more members, and get those open threads filled! In order for the staff to know what to put there, though, we need you, the person making the open threads, to let us know about it![break][break]
Reply to this thread letting us know the name of the thread, who started the thread, maybe how many other characters you're looking for, and – most of all – what the URL to this thread is! You're welcome to link threads that haven't been replied to at all yet, as well as threads that already have more than one character in them that you'd like to have even more faces in. Any thread that's welcome to more people, really! We'll get them added to the skin as soon as we can. When a suitable number of characters have joined and you'd like your thread removed, let us know here as well! Tagging me here with either a new thread or a notice of a request removal will get it done extra fast, so don't be afraid to slap on a @ admin to your post! Thanks for the help! |

The site's been open for more than a month now (right? tt's been a month???), and it's time for the dreaded activity check. In truth, there was a dip in activity there, with the hurricane, a loss of the site skin, and general staff business causing for a decline. Thankfully, the site is still alive, and we'd love to see everyone who was not able to be their most active in the past week or so back and lively! In order to do that most efficiently, however, we also need to see who's not coming back... and thus, the check.[break][break]
Link to or tag all your character accounts here with your OOC account, regardless of whether or not you plan on keeping them. If you plan on dropping characters, please let us know so we can sort it accordingly. If your character has been accepted and sorted into a block and you plan on keeping them, we will remove ten points from your account as your character's “rent”. If that character cannot make rent, they will be archived and will need to re-apply for acceptance. If you do not re-reserve claims or re-apply immediately, you are subject to losing these claims for lack of activity. Hopefully, you'll be able to hit the mark next month – it's only two IC posts! If your character has not finished their application but you would still like to keep them, no money will be removed, since you likely don't have any money on that account, and you're welcome to continue working toward completing. Any unfinished application that is not tagged/linked here, however, will be archived like the rest.[break][break]
If you've posted a notice of absence or lack of activity, we won't take rent. Please understand: We don't take money from accounts to be mean, just to ensure that people are being active when they can. If real life dictates that you can't, we're more than understanding. Simply link to your absence thread alongside tagging your character accounts, and characters who couldn't make rent will be spared. Do not, however, come up with false excuses for your lack of activity simply to get out of paying rent; laziness is not a valid excuse for not making two whole RP posts in the course of thirty days.

Because sports teams from other universes don't come around often (save for those dastards over at Miitomo), however, rather than call it quits, the remaining member and team captain, Oneyea Monocular, has decided to extend her search parameters outward in search of players to fill the empty player roles. Qualifications don't matter, nor does your understanding of what a “bowling” even is. If you're an able body – or, heck, just a body will do! – willing to stand out for the Tomodachi Bowling Team's name, you're welcome aboard! Let it be noted, however, that even those familiar with standard bowling rules will find themselves terribly confused here. You've never played a bowling match this unruly, nor will you likely ever again in your lifetime. [attr="class","rcgentitle"]HOW TO PARTICIPATE [attr="class","rcgen2"] [attr="class","rcgen3"]This event will last until Thursday, OCTOBER 5th 11:59 PM (Central Time). In this time, any willing character will be able to participate as a fill-in member of the Tomodachi Bowling Team during their so-called “Game of the Century” against their opponent, the Tomogachi Bowling Team. There will be no posting order, as well as a word count maximum of 400 words. Posts should not exceed this number. We're aiming for quick posts of a numerous quantity. Knowledge of bowling is unnecessary; in fact, it might do you worse for trying to play by them than following along with others – but which I mean acting bat crud insane. Throw bowling balls at your opponent's head. Start a game of poker in the middle of a round. Place bets on whether you or your opponent can down more shot glasses in under five minutes. The method of scoring is unclear, and Oneyea's certainly not telling, so try anything and everything and wonder how your team's number on the board tripled when you started a flash mob to the YMCA dance. All participants, even if you have only posted once, will be awarded with experience points post event for helping the team, regardless of win or lose, as well as a potential cash reward if you can propel your team to victory by hitting that lucky number thread page three in four weeks' time.
