Nikki + Akechi Goro
Mwahaha, this is why I like doppelganger characters, you get weird plots like this. Also, I'm sorry, I'm used to calling him "Akechi", so that's what I'll stick to, sORRY IF THAT'S. DISORIENTATING. S'up, Lux! I like to consider myself a HUGE Persona 5 fan I never spot listening to Beneath the Mask. Never. Even when I'm not listening to it, I am., but I didn't actually manage to get as far as I would have liked in the game before it was tragically ripped away from me. *clenches fist* (Un?)Fortunately, a lot of late game has already been spoiled by my brother, so I have a general understanding of all of the happenings involving Akechi – and reading your beautiful app helped a ton – so I'm. READY TO THROW CHARACTERS AT HIM. Maybe. More specifically, a character with a very similar face to someone he knows quite well!
Nikki and Akechi actually have some similarities here and there despite the fact that, outwardly, they're practically on opposite sides of the spectrum. They both came from fathers who were corrupt, power-hungry politicians they swore to take down, they're both recovering from psychotic breakdowns (albeit of different nature), and they did a lot of unquestionably bad things for the sake of a goal they saw as just. That, and it sounds like they've both got a “I want to be a hero, but never can be” complex going on. Whereas Akechi's all calm and deceit, though, Nikki's angry, violent, and wears his bleeding heart on his sleeve. I can't imagine these two getting along at all, similarities or no, but it'd definitely be an interesting match up – the inevitability that Akechi would probably mistake him for Akira at least once or no. (The differences personality-wise between those two, though, would probably clear up THAT misconception REAL quick.)
I dunno if you're familiar with the Omega Five and watch list sort of sub-plots on the site, but the basic jist is that newcomers to the island who may pose a threat to civilian life are marked down by island officials and are either: a) recruited into Omega Five, or b) put onto a “watch list” (where members of O5 are tasked with stalking them, basically, and knocking 'em out of commission if they get out of line) to make sure they don't continue their dangerous/criminal ways. Considering what Akechi did during the plot of P5, I could see him ending up on that watch list. (Only if that's cool with you, though? ? Aha, if that would conflict with what you've got in mind for his character, ignore this whole paragraph. =w=b) It'd make for a good excuse for a first meeting; Nikki's tasked with keeping an eye on him, Akechi finds out because he's #too smart for this stuff, identity confusion ensues and... well, we'll see where they go from there! What say you~? |

Hey, roommate! So Orange tossed these two in the same apartment, which is actually cool by me because they're both Pokemon in human bodies. O8 More specifically, Marley is Mew's spirit in – well, you remember the legendary plot from TBE. |D Where Marley was from, there was a Team Rocket, but there wasn't a Team Rocket (you know, the three loveable goofballs). Since she's from TBE, she's also technically from manga-verse, which means that Rocket was even more brutal than the anime, and having members from it constantly on her pursuit left a bad taste in her mouth. If she ever found out that Mitchell was, once upon a time, part of that group, even if he barely accomplished petty theft, she'd probably silent treatment him into the ground. Otherwise, she'd probably take to him just because of her bias toward Pokemon and against humans. It's nice to see someone around the island with similar origins, even if he's not borrowing a body for the sake of some larger goal. We can honestly probably start off a string of threads with one of them moving into the apartment and the other one being, like, “What? I didn't know I was getting a roomie.” If that doesn't work or you've got something else in mind, though, just lemme know! I'm all ears! Nice to RP with you again. <3333 |

Hey, Jaron! I don't think we've ever threaded, either, which is. A DARN SHAME, HONESTLY. Marco's such a sweetie pie, though, ugh, and I'd be more than happy to throw Miku at him! Don't worry, she probably won't stalk his messages if he asks her not to. … Intentionally. Maybe it turns out Marco's commute to work or something – the time and the place – make his phone a really convenient path of transport, so she's constantly zipping through his phone? This can be how they meet, probably, with Marco being all confused over why this blue haired girl showed up on his app out of the haha blue, but since she passes through so frequently, they can start talking and/or get up to some little hijinks here and there! She'd definitely be attracted to his kind personality, so even if he isn't as much of a music nut as she is, she'll always make it a point to tell him hi and ask him how his day's going. <3 |

Okay, but I'm really glad you posted here because I? Totally had an idea. Sort of. Maybe a not very good one, but. Alex's handle is Project Diva – which might not be a game she plays in this universe, I dunno if you confirmed that? But it definitely was one in the universe MIKU came from, so she knows all about it. She was present every time someone was playing it, in fact! So when she sees someone using it as a name, she's probably like, “Well, well, who's this stepping on my namesake?” and goes to check it out. Cue her accidentally crashing one of Alex's live streams. Not breaking it or anything, just. Literally stepping into the feed like, “S'up, guys, what's up?”, not really understanding that she's getting in the way of a lot of people's enjoyment. Oops. She'll definitely apologize for it later and try to make it up to Alex – it wasn't her intent to spoil the fun, she swears, she just wanted to see what was up – but they could probably hit it off from there? They're both pretty boisterous, happy characters who love the digital landscape, so I can see them getting along pretty well. (Also, Miku can confirm, driving in a giant mech is ten outta ten.) |

Ahaha, Yugi would probably benefit from being more like the Sun/Moon protagonist, honestly, he's still kind of a pushover. If it's for the sake of helping another person, though, he'd probably rush in headfirst like them into danger, especially if that person's a close friend, so I could see him helping Lillie to develop a little like them – although probably not the the same extent. School buddies sounds like a go, though, definitely! (Also, neat that you mentioned asking for the best clothing store because Dei and I literally just plotted Yugi working part time at a tailor's shop, so??? He definitely knows a good place to buy fancy clothes the don't bare any resemblance to Nihigelo. He might even sneak her discounts if he can get away with it if she shows up with the intent to buy. C;)
Lorelei Ackermann + Lillie
UGH, Lillie's too forgiving and precious. clutches heart You're lucky Nebby's got no dangerous sense, though, since all of Lorelei's party are big, fully evolved Pokemon, and half of them are still pretty violent in nature even now that their trainer's calmed down. That Tyranitar may have eaten a few people in the past, whoops. They won't hurt Nebby if Lorelei orders 'em not to, thankfully, but I could see Lillie getting pretty panicky the first time it and Lorelei's Pokemon have a “play date”. Nebby, no, playing in the jaw of a Tyranitar is not a safe idea.

'EY, glad this plot worked out so well. |D Honestly, these two are probably gonna be a great influence on Marley, too. She's real gloomy, and for the most part doesn't have a very high opinion of humans (this is what happens when they all are out to catch you, RIP), but meeting another legendary who's got such a good relationship with a human and meeting a human who doesn't force Pokemon to battle/sincerely has Cosmog's best interest in mind will be an eye-opener, definitely. Marley wasn't very acquainted with the Alola legendaries, mostly because she stayed in Kanto so much after a certain point, but she's probably met either Lunala or Solgelio at some point, and probably knows what Nebby'll eventually grow up to be. (That said, she likes Nebby better as a Cosmog; less intimidating, more on even footing with her.) That being said, if someone tries to run off with Nebby, too, Marley'll probably smack a jerk, so. You're not alone anymore, Lillie. XD These guys are gonna be such cute friends, though, aaaaaaaah. |

Pfft, I like how asking about her day comes before asking about big doggo. Good to have your priorities straight. I like the idea of him recognizing her as a regular, though, as well as one particularly bad day being the trigger to get one of 'em to open up to an acquaintance. Lorelei doesn't get a lot of “bad days”, herself, but she'd be observant enough to tell someone was off with the normally loud guy behind the counter. Truthfully, she probably wouldn't talk about it at all if she saw it once or twice, but if it happened a third or fourth time, she'd probably be like, “Okay, spill it, your silence is somehow more grating than your typical blather and I, as a frequent source of your income, would like to know why.” (She's just worried about him, don't let the harsh talk fool ya'.) I don't really know what else to add, honestly, RIP.
The question posed, then, is if we were to thread these two, where would we begin? I feel like a typical coffee run would be too short/uneventful – unless we injected in some crazy mishap like an attempted mugging or something that forces them to do stuff together, but who knows? Thoguhts? C': |

[attr="class","underrevblurb"] If you were to personify the word “evil”, what would you imagine? Maybe a criminal who's committed every crime in the book many times over. Maybe the single slaughterer of millions. Maybe some satanic beast that breaths fire from its jaws. When Nikki imagines evil, however, he imagines one living man: the good Doctor X.[break][break] Doctor X ( and his silly, silly name), as well as the character I'll be covering next come from a rock opera called Operation: Mindcrime. If you haven't heard of it, you're not alone; most people haven't. Thankfully, their roles in the story are pretty simple, and the story itself takes place ICly over the course of several months, but OOCly in just under an hour. In the rock opera, Doctor X sits at the head of the titular Operation: Mindcrime, and underground anarchist revolution that claims to seek to “save America” from supposed corruption by killing corrupt politicians, religious leaders, and anyone else who might get in their way. He gains members of his cause easily because of his knack for speaking ( he's actually a politician himself, although more specifically, he's a demagogue) and his deep understanding of the human mind. Anyone can be bribed into doing anything, and by inviting people with nothing to lose into his organization and promising the world, he'd managed to secure himself a small army of dangerously loyal murderers, spies, and thieves. They could've been well on their way to actually taking over the American government... had it not been for one tiny thing. It turned out DX didn't care for his revolution or its members at all. In fact, once offing all of his political rivals (and likely personal nemesis outside of the world of politics) had earned him an acceptable amount of pocket cash, he cut the whole thing off and left his workers to rot. He's a dangerous man because he's driven only by self interest and greed. He could wrap the whole world around his finger – and he has – but at the end of the day, he holds no love for the people in it.[break][break] Because he's intentionally made to be a rather enigmatic character, his actual canon material is pretty loose beyond what's been written above. If you're interested in taking this character, though, I do have a backstory/full name/fleshed out personality that I absolutely adore fit to this guy and would mean the world to me if you'd use, aha, but I won't flood y'all with that here. Lemme know if you're interested and I'll send you what I've got then! Remember that Nikki and Emilio Ota are gonna hound you for different reasons if you pick him up, too. That's, like. It's pretty up in the air. *sweats*[break][break] Sister Mary was, during the duration of Operation: Mindcrime, a – surprise, surprise – nun. More specifically, she was being blackmailed into being a nun by a terrible, horrible priest by the name of Father William who saved her from living on the streets (and having to sell her body to keep herself alive) some unknown number of years prior to the start of the album. Unfortunately, the cost of having a dry, warm place to stay was just as high as it was out on the streets. To make matters worse, she wasn't the only nun there with the same background and same price. It's implied that Father William forced all of the nuns there to sleep with him as payment for “saving their lives”. Sex slaves in everything but name. Nasty. Mary's importance in the Mindcrime story begins when Doctor X teams up with Father William for information. Mary's originally offered to Nikki as a drug carrier and a “play thing”, but because Nikki knows how to treat a lady like an actual human being, they don't end up sleeping together so much as becoming friends. Really good friends. While Mary fills the stereotypical love interest role, however, she defers in the fact that – while Nikki adores her, enough to through his life away for her – it's never made clear whether or not she actually loves him back. Considering her bad history with men, in fact, it's likely that she never loved him beyond a really good friend at all. We'll never really know for sure, though. When DX saw these two would-be love birds getting too close, he ordered Nikki to kill both nun and priest, and even though Nikki defected from the revolution to save Mary's life, he returned to find her with a bullet wound through her head anyway. (Was it the Doctor? Was it Nikki in a brainwashed state? Did Mary kill herself in grief, convinced that the one real friend she'd had only wanted her for her body as well? It's still a mysteryyyyyyyyyy.)[break][break] Like DX, Mary has a lot of wiggle room, albeit not quite as much since she's more of an open book. How she got to living on the streets is up to you, as is her full name and how she actually died – although, I guess, if you're RPing her alive, she'd probably get pulled from canon before then. THE MYSTERY PERSISTS. I'd also like to note that she's actually got at least some distaste for religious practices – being forced to preform them for an abusive man'll do that to you – so while she was a nun in the past, I can't see her going back to it now that she's free. What hasn't changed, though, is her devotion to Nikki and the devotion he feels back. She's sweet, she's sassy, and she deserves to be protected. Sister Mary, folks! Okay, though, no lie, the part that made me the most happy, hands down, from your reply was the fact that you read up on the Mindcrime plot, like. I HAVE BEEN... TRYING FOR LITERALLY YEARS NOW... TO SPREAD THE GOOD WORD... Mostly because I am the lonely sole member of its fandom, RIP. So hearing that you not only went out and read it, but also didn't totally hate it means that you're instantly a cool person and just. Yes. Thank you. Okay, gushy rant over, let's talk CHARACTERS.

Aaaaaaah, good ol' class Robin, she's. So good. C': Her constantly pouring over blueprints and tactical books would be a good way to segway into the “teach me tactic, senpai!” plot, honestly, since seeing it visually will make him immediately assume she's either: a) a huge nerd, or b) really good at it already and seeking to expand her personal bank of knowledge. Chess is good, too, (bonus if she later challenges him to a match and gets to whoop his bUTT) but probably not cause for him to approach her about advice. Also, I'm interested to hear about your potential future ideas, but if those are hush-hush for now, I guess I'll have to wait and seeeee.
A meet up while heading back to the apartments sounds like a plan, then! Pfft, the idea that they cross paths because he's mixed up their apartment numbers and Robin catches him trying to “break into” her apartment popped into my head. No first impression quite like walking in an a weird guy cussing up a storm and swearing over why his key won't open her door. Whatever setup you'd like to go with is fine by me, though. =w=b

Ahaaaa, glad to hear we had the same idea in mind! Singers gotta unite! >8O Having known each other for a bit before hopping in on threads sounds good to me, though! Miku's never actually gotten to write music for herself – all of the songs she knew up until her Island transfer, and even those that came after were all created by people using her voice bank – so this'll definitely be a learning experience. I can just imagine her running up like, “AZURA, AZURA, AM I DOING THIS RIGHT?”, and then providing critique on Azura's own works later on to return the favor for helping her out.
You offered to start up a thread for Nikki and Robin, so I can cover getting one started for these two! The park or beach would be good for privacy for song writing, I imagine, but that aforementioned cellphone's gonna be about as good as it gets for Miku being... present. *clutches heart* Lillie, my daughter... I was so excited to see you apping her, and I'm glad I get the chance to plot with you! I'm pretty trash at coming up with specific scenarios to RP, but I can usually come up with some characters to throw at... just about anyone at a glance. (Un)fortunately for you, I've got three characters who might work well with her, so I'll throw them all your way and see what'cha think. Take and leave what you want, and know that I've got other characters who can also be RPed with if you'd rather go with them!
Mutou Yugi + Lillie
Characters from some of he childhood titan anime, Yu-Gi-Oh! And Pokemon. You might be familiar with old school Yu-Gi-Oh! (most people are, to some degree), but the Yugi I'm playing comes from an earlier Yu-Gi-Oh! still, back before all of the card games were even a thing, and back when he resembles Lillie a lot more! Both of them are pulled pretty early in their respective canon, and while both of 'em would eventually grow up to be insanely strong in heart, they're still both pretty shy and weak-willed as it is now. Sure, they've got goals that they'll stick to with all their might, and Lillie's probably less of a social doormat than Yugi is even at the start of Sun and Moon, but they're both... well, pretty wallflower-y! This works well with Yugi's nature, though, since he tends to try to go out of his way to talk to people who are similarly shy or outcasts and make sure they feel appreciated by someone! There's an age gap of five years, but since all the schools pre-college-level are connected, it's entirely possible they could run into each other between classes. Plus, since he's multiple grades her senior and has taken... well, not all of, but at least similar classes to the one she's taking now, he can help her out with any homework she might get stuck on! At the very least, the universe he was pulled from is a little more like Tomodachi Island than Pokearth is like Tomodachi Island, so some of the basic “rules of the universe” might come easier to him than her, and from there he can pass the knowledge down to her! I could go on and on about similarities, too, like how they both hate fighting and both have an... entity, shall we say, that they're trying to keep secret from others that's always on their person, but I think you get the idea, RIP.
Lorelei Ackermann + Lillie
So if the age gap on that last one wasn't big enough, consider a grown up adult and an eleven-year-old girl. <:I The only reason why I suggest putting these two together is that they're actually both from the Pokemon World! Lorelei's a pretty intimdating lady (and while she generally means well (now, anyway, but let's not talk about that), it wouldn't be too far fetched to say that one could draw some similarities between she and Lusamine, so maybe there can be some internal #drama there??), but even then, it's nice to see someone who comes from the same place. That, and she's got a full party of Pokemon for Nebby to play with on hand! Win-win, right? Right?? (Bonus points because Lillie might be, like, the only Pokemon trainer she'll meet who doesn't know what a horrible person she was, so there's comfort in that.) They come from different iterations of Pokearth, so maybe they can get together every so often and compare and contrast their homelands or something. OR just talk about how rad Pokemon are. They're so rad. My plot ideas are so weak, I'm sorry.
Marley Wallace + Lillie
Closest in age (well, outwardly), closer in personalities, at least in comparison to Lorelei, and with similar home worlds. Marley's from Pokearth, too, but instead of raising Pokemon, she is one – Mew, specifically. Again, they've got the perk of both being students, and they're both probably middle schoolers at their age, so a meeting shouldn't be hard. Even better is that I headcanon that legendaries have a certain “sense” for finding one another and communicating, so the moment Marley and Lillie end up in the same general vicinity, Mar's probably going to go on a hunt for where that other legendary is, and then probably (quietly) harass Lillie for trying to take it captive. Once the confusions cleared up (no, Marley, she's not capturing it, she's rescuing it), we can probably have some cute Mew/Cosmog and Marley/Lillie conversations. Lillie's a huge sweetheart where Marley's pretty gloomy, but I like to imagine that they can become pretty good friends despite that! |

Aha, if that would conflict with what you've got in mind for his character, ignore this whole paragraph. =w=b) It'd make for a good excuse for a first meeting; Nikki's tasked with keeping an eye on him, Akechi finds out because he's #too smart for this stuff, identity confusion ensues and... well, we'll see where they go from there!
