[attr="class","rcappleft2"] [attr="class","rcappleft3"] [attr="class","rcappleft4"] [attr="class","rcapplefttitle"]CHARACTER ABILITIES [attr="class","rcappleft51"] NINJA Homura is a ninja, trained in the art of assassination. Her speed and power are top tier among her already superhuman peers though her technique is lacking- whereas others have developed their ninjutsu to the point where they are able to summon giant monsters or call forth the flames of hell, Homura... just calls out basic attacks, such as 'CHAAAAAARGE!' where she runs forward and swings her swords. Her fighting style utilizes seven swords, with three held in each hand between her fingers like a claw- the seventh sword is a nodachi named Engetsuga. Once Engetsuga is drawn, Homura's Ki is converted into fire, her hair and eyes turn red, and her physical attributes are increased even further. In this state, known to her allies as Crimson Homura, her emotions become more intense and she becomes capable of using fire-style ninjutsu. That's the justice I believe in... that's my ninja way, and that's why I'm going to stop you, Kagura!" Homura could only smirk at the sickeningly sweet declaration her rival made. "I'm not goin' to bother arguing with you this time. I'm a simpler girl... I just want nice, tough fight. Kagura! Think you can bring that joy into my life?" To think that only a few days ago her and Asuka had been locked in a life or death struggle to finally decide who was stronger once and for all- and now they were standing side by side, ready to take on an even greater threat. Kagura. A godlike being of immense power who reincarnates every hundred years to purge the world of the Youkai... but this time her bloodlust wasn't sated with just that. Tokyo was burning, and the world would soon follow if Kagura wasn't stopped. [break][break] Kagura floated over the pair, her hair splayed out behind her in a wide fan as Ki surged around the woman, causing her body to glow with a bright golden aura. "Fools. Word nor blade can reach me now. I have ascended beyond your feeble consciousness!" Homura chuckled as she offered an exaggerated shrug towards her companion. "Told ya. She's too far gone to reason with. We'll just hafta take her down like any other Yoma." Asuka shook her head intently, drawing her twin daggers while her own aura surged, green-tinted Ki whirling around the daggers to form katanas made of wind. "I won't accept that! Our words... no, our hearts will reach her!" Homura grabbed the hilt of the nodachi strapped to her back and unsheathed it in one smooth motion. The moment the end of the blade left the sheath, a pillar of fire consumed her body as her hair and eyes were dyed blood red. She crossed her flaming sword over Asuka's wind blade, sporting a frown. "You're gonna get yourself killed thinkin' like that, you know." [break][break] "You should listen to your friend. Or don't. Neither of you will live to see the morrow regardless." Kagura's arm raised, black and red energy crackling along the limbs while she gathered her Ki. Homura didn't know what kind of attack the woman was preparing, nor did she care. She dashed forward with her sword held horizontally by her chest, leaping to cover the last dozen feet as she swung the blade across towards Kagura. Engetsuka stopped inches away from Kagura's face, but no matter how hard she pushed, Homura couldn't close the distance. "Ninpo: Full Bloom!" Homura ducked just as a pair of Ki-infused shockwaves passed overhead, crashing against Kagura's barrier... and dissipated without doing any damage. [break][break] Homura clicked her tongue in annoyance, swinging her sword in a sharp uppercut... yet again the attack stopped short, prompting her to hop back to create some distance between her and her target. "It's no use- she's got some kinda shield. We're gonna need somethin' stronger to smash through it. You know what I'm talkin' about, right?" Asuka nodded and crossed her blades over her chest. "Mhm. We'll do it. Kagura! We're coming straight at you with everything we've got!" Homura merely smirked and held her sword out in front of her with one arm, pointing the tip towards her enemy's chest. "My heart is screaming... my blood is blazing... I'm going to burn that tainted soul of yours into ash!" "Hi Ougi Ninpo: DEEP CRIMSON!" [break][break] Both Homura and Asuka took a single step forward in preparation for their ultimate attack... only for Kagura to snap her fingers, creating a bright, blinding light that forced the pair to cover their eyes with their forearms. And when the light faded... Homura found herself standing alone. "Y-You... you... what've you done with Asuka?!" She grit her teeth as she reached out with her Ki, trying to sense her rival... but felt nothing. Kagura merely laughed darkly at the remark. "Gone. Forever. I control the boundaries between this world and the next. Did you truly think you humans stood a chance against a God?" Homura's eyes widened as despair started to rise up from the pit of her stomach. Asuka couldn't be dead, not like this. They were supposed to be rivals. Only she was allowed to beat the girl. It was a lie. IT WAS A LIE. [break][break] Homura grabbed at her head with both hands, fingers sinking into her scalp as she reared back and roared into the reddened sky. "I'LL KILL YOOOOOOOU!" Fire exploded around her, the ground shaking beneath her as the very air itself quivered from the energy being released, cracks appearing in the very air as Kagura's pocket dimension began to fall apart. Homura slammed her sword into the ground and started to run forward, a stream of fire following in her wake while molten earth bubbled up from the trail gouged out from her sword. "BLOODY ROAR!" She swung the sword up- but this time, the barrier surrounding the demonic woman shimmered into existence for just a moment, cracks spiderwebbing across it's ethereal surface before finally shattering as the blade was driven through the shield... only for Kagura to catch the blade with her bare hand, the red and black energy still covering the limb. "You really were a fool. Now begone." With that, she grabbed a bundle of the air with her free hand... and yanked it down, tearing open a portal that bathed Homura in a stinging red light... and then nothing. No crimson moon staining the sky, no destroyed city surrounding her, no Kagura floating above. Nothing. [break][break] How much time passed in that void was a mystery. But when Homura was finally able to open her eyes again, she found herself laying by the side of the street in a land that she'd never seen before. "Ugh, my head... n' my memories are all foggy... is this another False Dimension?" She slowly rose to her feet, looking around before cupping her hands around her mouth to call out, "HEY, IS ANYONE OUT THERE? ASUKA! ...No, I don't sense anyone's presence." Her arms dropped limply to her sides as a deep frown creased her face. There was only one thing to do. And with that thought fresh in her mind, she took a step forward... and another. If she wasn't dead, then she would have to train. Train and train until she was strong enough to find a way back, defeat Kagura, and save Asuka. She wouldn't settle for anything less.
