There were plenty of people around, and she observed them for a while. Then she pulled out her favorite book and began reading. What she really wanted to do was experience some excitement, but there was no one whom she could play her favorite game with. So reading would have to do, even if it didn't excite her as much |

Aki felt herself float. She was a bit disoriented, both due to the fact that she was floating and the fact that she just finished fighting an evil deity. Earthbound god Ccarayhua to be precise. Earthbound gods were evil entities which took the shape of an animals. They had human hosts, to whom they had offered their powers, at least temporarily. Ultimately, they served a creature known only as 'king of hell'. She was jerked out of her thoughts by a rough landing. Looking around, she saw that she was on some sort of an island, near the water.

Psychic power
Aki has psychic power manifested through dueling. This results in her opponents receiving real damage during the duel, which wouldn't happen in normal circumstances.

Day
She was born as a child of a senator. She loved spending time with her father, but he was always away working. She tried to ignore the ache she felt, but it didn't work. From a very young age, she was interested in dueling, and when her father gave her her first deck, she was overjoyed. Yet her father still didn't have the time to spend with her. She endured it silently time after time, reasoning that his job was more important. Still, she wished she had a real, one who cared about her as well. It was selfish, she knew, but she couldn't help it.[break][break]
Night
Yet that hope proved to be just wishful thinking. On that night, she realized that her parents didn't need her. She figured that she didn't need them either, so she left. She gained a new family after that night. One that didn't judge her. With the help of her new leader, she got chosen to participate in a tournament. Fueled by the belief that those who hurt others first should be hurt in return, she displayed sadistic tendencies. Yet beneath that exterior, she was lonely and sad. She simply wanted someone who'd be there for her. From then on, her fate began to unravel, and she learned she is one of four people supposed to save the world. Her benefactor was still one of two people she trusted unconditionally, one of only two people who really tried to help her. Yet that too was a lie. He - Divine - kept things from her. He didn't offer everyone equal opportunities. Rather, he discarded those he deemed useless. This could have easily been her fate as well. Yet, a small part of her wanted to cling to him, or to the person she thought he was. With help from her compatriots, she was able to bury the past and rekindle her relationship with her birth parents. She decided to embrace her true destiny and save the world.
