Dreams, magical in their own right, transcending time and space in times of slumber. It happens only so often, on nights when the moon is full and the weather clear, when the two become one. Sleep becomes a gateway, and dreams become a converging place. Soon, the dream you dream is no longer your own, but that of many – and just as soon do all of the ramifications of your dream self become all too real. Your role and your goals are clear from the moment of awakening to this shared dream. Whether you realize it's not yours, or whether you can complete your tasks before the night is over is entirely up to you.[break][break] Every month, Rainbow Connection will host a unique event that takes place in a shared dream across the island, known OOC-ly as the monthly Tomodachi Quest! Most people participating in this dream fail to realize that it's shared across all sleeping individuals (or, at least, those who have signed up for the month) for the night, or that rewards earned in the dream will materialize in real life. While the event will span a month's time, giving you plenty of time to try to complete your character's assigned tasks, it will only take a night in your character's eyes. Each month will have a different “theme”, which will change the setting of the dream, as well as the roles your character may take on. This may not always coincide with how your character acts in real life – but for the sake of the dream, try playing the part! You'll never know if you like it.[break][break] Sign-ups will begin on the first of every month, where you may sign-up as few as one character to as many as two. Characters who have participated in the last Tomodachi Quest cannot be used in the current one – with the exception of members who only have a single character – so make sure to give all of your characters equal time in the spotlight. The event will begin in full on the third (giving you about two days to sign up), where your character(s) will be given their role for the month and their list of goals to accomplish. Only one goal can be accomplished per thread, so make sure to participate in more than one thread to get closer to total completion! You will be awarded for the number of goals you complete within the month, so don't feel terrible if you can't get them all done before the dream has ended. In character spoils will materialize in real life – so if your character were to, say, find a diamond lying around during the quest, they would awake to one lying on their desk in the morning. Even if your character cannot typically remember dreams, this particular one will be especially vivid. Make sure not to insult anyone too bad during your sleep, lest you face the consequences in the waking world! [attr="class","rcgentitle"]SUBMIT THEME SUGGESTIONS [attr="class","rcgen2"] [attr="class","rcgen3"]The staff are only so creative, unfortunately, so any suggestions for future Tomodachi Quests would be awesome! Themes are usually limited to one or a couple words long and should be clear in name alone: If one month's theme is “Pokemon”, then it will take place in the Pokemon world, or if it's “Wild West” than you can expect some good ol' cowboy and sheriff action. If you're submitting theme ideas, consider suggesting some corresponding roles and goals to go with. Keeping up with the earlier example of “Pokemon”, roles could be trainers and Team Rocket, and goals could be to beat a certain number of trainers or steal a certain species of Pokemon from someone else.
