[attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ This was going to be a big step for Lillie. The young girl didn't go out as much on her own to meet up with a classmate. However, today was an exception. She went out of her comfort zone to ask one of her classmates if they could help her with her homework. Her name was Shion. Lillie didn't know much about her but she did know she was in a grade or two ahead of her. She would see her in the halls but never got the courage to ask her until yesterday at school. It was nerve-racking at first but the young girl managed to ask Shion for help. They would meet at Tomodachi's park, Lillie would bring snacks, and they could work peacefully. And, that day was here. Lillie arrived at the park a little bit earlier so Nebby could get some fresh air and play around for a bit. She couldn't remember the last time she let it out in the open because she was afraid something bad might happen. There wasn't any people around so she took the chance and Nebby seemed to enjoy it. The two of them played together for a hour or two and Lillie even tried to command Nebby to use an attack. She didn't know what attacks her friend knew so she named a random one. Nebby looked at her strangely for a moment before flying right back into her arms. Well, that didn't work. Either her friend didn't know the move or Lillie wasn't cut out to be a trainer. To be honest, she was fine with that because she didn't like putting pokemon in that position anyways. When it was finally time for Shion to show up, Lillie opened up her bag and Nebby flew inside of it. "Promise me you'll be good and don't come out of the bag unless I say so, okay Nebby?" She said sternly. "Nee!" Nebby replied before moving further inside the bag so the young girl could close it. Closing the bag, Lillie took a deep breath to prepare for the day ahead. She then hurried over to the spot they were supposed to meet up at and waited patiently for Shion to arrive.

[attr="class","oppost"]Shion tried to sleep that night. Yet she couldn't due to that nightmare cropping up again. The night her parents died. She supposed she'd never truly be free of that memory. She eventually got up and dressed, going about her usual routine. Yet today the routine would be different than usual, she mused while she prepared a piece of toast for breakfast. Today she had agreed to help one of her classmates. Shion didn't socialize much, if at all, but she couldn't refuse. Her classmate exuded some sort of infectious energy. And seemed benevolent enough. Once she had finished her breakfast, Shion looked at the clock. It was time. She quickly packed the needed books and headed out. When she got to the park, she noticed that her classmate was there already. She cautiously approached her. It was a reflex from the old days, as this girl seemed harmless enough. "Hello." Shion greeted, smiling feebly She could have sworn there was someone behind her, watching her. Shaking her head, she dismissed it as paranoia. Those days were gone.

[attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ "H-Hi! I hope this isn't too early for you. There's a picnic table over there where we could do our work. I uh... also brought snacks in case you were hungry." Lillie returned Shion's smile with a small smile of her own. She turned around and lead the way to the picnic table so they'd be able to do their work there. Once they arrived, the young girl placed her bag gently on the table before taking a seat herself. She opened it up and Nebby was about to make a noise until Lillie put a finger to her mouth to 'shush' it. Then she took out her math book, the homework that went along with it, a calculator, a few pencils, and a blank sheet of paper. "So um I was having trouble with this section of the homework. I don't know how to calculate it to get the right answer." Lillie slid her homework over to Shion so she could take a look at the problem she was having. The young girl did pretty well in school but when it came to math, that's where she was having trouble. She took good notes and asked questions every time she was stumped but none of that seemed to be working. The homework always threw her off and she could never figure out what she was doing wrong. Having Shion here to help her out was like a ray of hope. Lillie was positive her classmate would be able to help her and figure out what the problem was. If not, then Lillie was going to be on her own with this one.

[attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ It wasn't embarrassing. As a matter of fact, Lillie was grateful that Shion was able to understand the problem quickly and explain to her how to get the correct answer. She gave the older girl a nod and proceeded to work on other similar questions. It didn't take long for Lillie to finish the whole worksheet with Shion's help of course. She still had another worksheet to do but she could do that later. "T-Thank you so much! I wouldn't have been able to finish my homework without you. Ah... uh... are you hungry? I have some sandwiches here." Lillie reached into her bag where Nebby was sleeping peacefully to get the sandwiches she made. Lillie handed Shion a small bag that had a ham and cheese sandwich in it. It wasn't anything super special just the basic because she didn't know how to cook very well. Hopefully, that sandwich would be okay. She took out a sandwich for herself and started to eat it in silence, listening to the birds chirp and the noises from the other people around in the park. It seemed like Shion was in deep thought about something so Lillie wanted to give her some time before she said anything to her.
