An unbreakable bond between a human and a pokemon was hard to achieve. Pokemon are fragile creatures who have emotions and feelings just like everyone else. A person has to understand and respect that before a friendship or any sort of bond can be made. It's not that easy. Some pokemon are more fragile than others while some harbor negative feelings towards humans. Lillie believed she was one of the lucky ones to have a bond with Nebby. However, she realized it was probably because the little Cosmog was so eager to trust anyone who showed it the least bit of kindness or maybe not. Perhaps Cosmog knew it'd be safe from the prison it was in if it went along with her. Whatever the case may be, Lillie was grateful to have Nebby with her. She'd keep it safe and away from any danger, she'd do whatever she could to make Nebby feel comfortable with her, and she promised that she wouldn't let anything bad happen to it.

Unfortunately, Lillie felt like she broke that promise when Nebby became sick one early evening. She didn't notice any strange signs at first except that her pokemon friend was a little anxious and excited than usual. It wasn't until after class when Nebby refused to come out of her bag that she noticed how bad it looked. Lillie bolted out of the classroom before anyone else and headed straight to he nurse's office. However, she didn't get very far until she realized the nurse wouldn't exactly be able to help her in this situation. The young girl looked frantically around for anyone or anything that could help but the truth was no one could. She was running out of options and the low cries from her companion were only making it worse. She needed to do something.

"I-It's okay Nebby. I'll help you... I promise." Her voice was shaky but her friend responded with a soft cry from her bag. Lillie ran out of school and looked around at the many students who were conversing with friends or waiting for their rides. Any one of those children could have helped but she was too afraid to take the chance. She didn't know what their intentions were or what would happen if she told them about Nebby. What if they told the principal? They'd probably kick her out of school and take Nebby away.

W-What should I do? I think I should run back home... yeah. I think I have a potion maybe? Or an antidote? Lillie thought and looked down towards her bag. She opened it up fully so she'd be able to gently take Nebby out of it and cradle it protectively in her arms. The pokemon shivered and let out another low cry before looking over in the direction of something peculiar. Lillie was too busy running that she didn't notice Nebby had sensed something and turned it's attention there. It started to struggle a bit, wanting to go over there and see who this special person was.

It wasn't embarrassing. As a matter of fact, Lillie was grateful that Shion was able to understand the problem quickly and explain to her how to get the correct answer. She gave the older girl a nod and proceeded to work on other similar questions. It didn't take long for Lillie to finish the whole worksheet with Shion's help of course. She still had another worksheet to do but she could do that later. "T-Thank you so much! I wouldn't have been able to finish my homework without you. Ah... uh... are you hungry? I have some sandwiches here." Lillie reached into her bag where Nebby was sleeping peacefully to get the sandwiches she made.

Lillie handed Shion a small bag that had a ham and cheese sandwich in it. It wasn't anything super special just the basic because she didn't know how to cook very well. Hopefully, that sandwich would be okay. She took out a sandwich for herself and started to eat it in silence, listening to the birds chirp and the noises from the other people around in the park. It seemed like Shion was in deep thought about something so Lillie wanted to give her some time before she said anything to her.

Lillie was surprised that Marco lived in the same block she did. How lucky could she get with this guy? He was willing to help her out and lived in the same apartments she did!

She wasn't expecting him to ask about the pokeball so quickly after. She wasn't a trainer and didn't plan on being one anytime soon so she was unsure with how pokeballs worked. She knew the general concept of them so that was good enough right? "Um... it's a pokeball. You use it to catch pokemon like Nebby here. I don't really think Tomodachi has any pokemon so you can use it as a nice decorative piece." She giggled a bit. Who knows? Maybe there was other pokemon around and he'd be able to catch one with it. But that'd be silly. He didn't have any pokemon to battle with so the wild one would just run away.

To be honest, it was strange being in Tomodachi. This place was a lot different than home. Nebby didn't seem to be bothered by it's new surroundings so that was a good thing but Lillie couldn't help but be a little worried. She didn't know much about her pokemon friend let alone what kind of pokemon it was. She didn't know what it ate, how it slept, or what kind of moves it knew. The young girl was clueless but she certainly wasn't going to give up with finding some answers. There had to be someone or something that knew more about Nebby than she did.

After the both of them paid for their things, Marco went out the bookstore followed by Lillie who went out as well. He asked if someone was going to pick her up and she shook her head no. Her guardian wasn't around and she rather keep it that way until she felt confident enough to deal with it. So for now, she was fine with walking home alone. She's been walking to places all on her own since her arrival to Tomodachi. It wasn't the safest thing for an eleven year old to be walking the streets by herself but Lillie was perfectly capable of handling her own.

Unfortunately, there was the tiny problem she had with getting lost. "Um... the apartments aren't too far from here and I think I'll be able to get their on my own without getting lost." The words that came out of her mouth didn't sound too reassuring.

Knowing Lillie, she'd probably get lost in a few minutes and be back where she started. She could ask someone for help like she did with Marco but she wasn't sure they'd be so willing to help like he was. "Uh... actually...." Lillie turned to face him before continuing. "Could you... um... walk with me to the apartments? If that's okay with you?" She asked.

Yes, it was probably ten times better going with Marco.
