I don't think I've ever had this was the main virtue for a character of mine, which greatly amuses me now that I think of it. But that sort of physical and mental pureness fits her quite well. It only furthers the loyalty and love she feels toward her wife.

While Atem has definitely come a long way working on his other virtues, I think the one that he's most developed in will always be diligence, because it just comes naturally to him. He's never one to complain about work, and typically always finds something productive to do rather than laze around.

How is a murderer charitable, you're probably thinking, when his whole life's worth is based on the taking of peoples' lives? Well, there's no question that murder is bad – but the reason why Nikki murders isn't for self gain. In fact, he'd gladly lay his life down if it would be better for “the good of the people.” Ultimately, it's that “good of the people” that drives him to do just about anything that isn't blinded by his hatred for DX. He's a martyr at heart, laying down his future and his aspirations in order to try to give the people the utopia they deserve. Unfortunately, that has to come at the cost of the people who don't deserve utopia, and while his intentions are, in fact, entirely selfless and with the intent to give to the populace, his methods of going about it easily paint a very different picture.

mary, more than anything, is kind. she's been mistreated and abused for nearly all of her life, and her particular form of abuse has led her to believe that being kind can change someone's outcome. after all, it only took a bowl of lucky charms to turn her life around, even if it was at the hand of a man who spent his nights begging her for his next high. she's made it her mission to be kind and fair to everyone she meets, and the money she doesn't use to pay rent and keep herself moderately accommodated goes to homeless shelters around the city.
