[attr="class","burst"] [attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ An unbreakable bond between a human and a pokemon was hard to achieve. Pokemon are fragile creatures who have emotions and feelings just like everyone else. A person has to understand and respect that before a friendship or any sort of bond can be made. It's not that easy. Some pokemon are more fragile than others while some harbor negative feelings towards humans. Lillie believed she was one of the lucky ones to have a bond with Nebby. However, she realized it was probably because the little Cosmog was so eager to trust anyone who showed it the least bit of kindness or maybe not. Perhaps Cosmog knew it'd be safe from the prison it was in if it went along with her. Whatever the case may be, Lillie was grateful to have Nebby with her. She'd keep it safe and away from any danger, she'd do whatever she could to make Nebby feel comfortable with her, and she promised that she wouldn't let anything bad happen to it. Unfortunately, Lillie felt like she broke that promise when Nebby became sick one early evening. She didn't notice any strange signs at first except that her pokemon friend was a little anxious and excited than usual. It wasn't until after class when Nebby refused to come out of her bag that she noticed how bad it looked. Lillie bolted out of the classroom before anyone else and headed straight to he nurse's office. However, she didn't get very far until she realized the nurse wouldn't exactly be able to help her in this situation. The young girl looked frantically around for anyone or anything that could help but the truth was no one could. She was running out of options and the low cries from her companion were only making it worse. She needed to do something. "I-It's okay Nebby. I'll help you... I promise." Her voice was shaky but her friend responded with a soft cry from her bag. Lillie ran out of school and looked around at the many students who were conversing with friends or waiting for their rides. Any one of those children could have helped but she was too afraid to take the chance. She didn't know what their intentions were or what would happen if she told them about Nebby. What if they told the principal? They'd probably kick her out of school and take Nebby away. W-What should I do? I think I should run back home... yeah. I think I have a potion maybe? Or an antidote? Lillie thought and looked down towards her bag. She opened it up fully so she'd be able to gently take Nebby out of it and cradle it protectively in her arms. The pokemon shivered and let out another low cry before looking over in the direction of something peculiar. Lillie was too busy running that she didn't notice Nebby had sensed something and turned it's attention there. It started to struggle a bit, wanting to go over there and see who this special person was. | [attr="class","white"] [attr="class","night"] [attr="class","burstmini"]000 words [attr="class","burstmini"]i hope you don't mind that i started the thread with marley & lillie. i was just too excited for it that i couldn't wait. >.< |

Marley was not the sort of girl to hope.
It spat in the face of most's assumptions of a cat-like deity stained pink, eyes wide as saucers. Surely a creature that “cute” was dictated by its child-like curiosity, its love for live, its raw optimism, enough to make the pessimism of man feel shameful in comparison. One does not own the tentative title “The Phantom 151st” without reason, however: For years, no one knew of what she looked like shy of ancient carvings in lands still unnamed. Even now, only the scholarly, the well educated, or the incredibly fortunate could boast to know what she really looked like. But that was all they knew: Her appearance, the outside. They knew not of her thoughts, her mannerisms, her distaste for their kind. Nothing that small could be that much of a threat. Nothing that cute could harbor so much hate. (The fools.) There were exceptions, of course, but even she, herself, had learned not to count on them long, long ago. The children from Pallet had earned her favor, but for as many as them as there were, there were millions across the planet that would see her freedom stripped from her and her powers used for nefarious deeds. And just as she found herself suspicious of, angry toward most of the human race, she found herself staring at reality – more often than not – through a lense of distaste. How long had it been since she'd last hoped – really hoped? What was the line drawn in the sand that made her change her mind? What was the turning point that striped from her her last shred of bright-eyed wishfulness? She would say. Could, but wouldn't. Time and time again, she'd been taught to think twice. Think better. Tomodachi Island, she had learned, was a case no different. She could dream of her home back on Pokearth, but that would never bring it back, nor would it do her any favors to dwell on it. So, too, when she felt the first lingering traces of something that clearly felt like a legendary, she didn't let herself search for the source. It would end up a dead end, certainly – or, at best, it would reveal itself as a legendary who was much less excited to see her as she was to see them. (Which was to say: not especially.)[break][break]
How long, though, had Marley felt the presence of another of Arceus' chosen Pokemon? Not quite as long as she'd been enrolled in the school, no, but the school was the only location that she felt the sensation of being so close to the creatures she was once so familiar with. The possibility of there being another legendary within these walls should have been impossible, though. She knew, almost like the back of her hand, the bodies that the others had taken back on Pokearth, and few would be able to go overlooked by her rose-colored eyes for so long, much less by the remainder of the school. And if they were out in their regular forms, well – hiding would have been beyond the question. Impossible. Time and time again, she had written it off as nothing at all but a mind desperate for the sight of something familiar. What would having another legendary around even manage to accomplish? It was just another god stripped from their universe; just another being who could help in the search of...[break][break]
Ah, there it was again. The school day had ended, and on all sides, students chittered and chattered on their rush out of the school. Eyes scanned over the crowds in search of the source (their owner not bothering to look too hard, knowing fully well it was a waste effort either way), but the disadvantage in height that had made the island mistake her for a child in the first place and the anxiety that came with being surrounded by faces unfamiliar and cruel made it as impossible a task as always. Better to just keep her head low as always, then, and make her way toward her apartment without expending anymore useless effort. Just as her defeatist nature got the better of her as usual, however, the periphery of her vision notified her of a girl from the grades below looking rather... Ah, what was the word. Scared? Worried? Humans were always so hard to place. How easy it would be to brush off her troubles – the other children had no problem doing the same – had it not been for what she saw in her eyes usual path downward toward her shoes. The galaxy: contained in clouds, lined by gold. Familiar.[break][break]
Cosmog.[break][break]
“O-oh – Th-that's –!” The crowd swallowed the sight whole, but there was no mistaking what she had seen. Cosmog, the infant form of Solgaleo and Lunala, clutched in the arms of a girl. Trapped. Typical humans. “E... Excuse me! I need to get th-through...!” the deity tried to shout, but nothing short of weakly forcing her way through students seemingly twice her height did her any good in her endeavor. Upon breaking through, she was able to see the picture more clearly: Cosmog, struggling weakly, and a girl, looking suspiciously guilty. Had Marley been the confrontational sort, this is where she would have thrown an unfounded punch. As it was, she could only step in the stranger's line of sight and ask in a tone just above a whisper: “Y...You... Wh-What happened to C-Cosmog?”

[attr="class","burst"] [attr="class","whitenight"] ❝ Lillie couldn't shake this feeling. A feeling that was all too familiar. One that took hold of her back when she was in Alola at Aether Paradise when the employees had cornered the two. Lillie thought this was the end. She thought that she had failed the little Cosmog. She hated that feeling more than anything but no matter how hard she tried to fight it, it would always come back to her. Failure. She was and this time was no different except Nebby wouldn't be saving her in the end. If only she would have kept a close eye on her companion and seen the signs earlier none of this would've happened. What kind of friend was she to let someone near and dear to her heart get sick? She couldn't believe it and the thought of those terrible things were just weighing her down. To be honest, the young girl was on the verge of giving up until something unexpected happened. A girl with pink hair who looked a little older than Lillie confronted the two and asked about Nebby. Normally, she wouldn't hesitate to ask this stranger to help but she was a little skeptical. No one in Tomodachi knew about Nebby let alone it's pokemon name so who was this girl? Lillie didn't want to take any chances especially in the condition her friend was in. This girl could have been sent from her mother and have plans to take the two back. She wasn't going to let that happen. "W-Who are you? How do you know about Cos- Nebby?" She took a step back with her friend safely in her arms. That was a close one. Maybe, she could get past her and make a run for it but she was never the athletic type unfortunately. Suddenly, there was a loud noise coming from behind Lillie. She turned to see a small ripple in the sky. A while light was pulsing and illuminating in the center of it. Some of the kids pointed at it and went over to get a better look at the strange phenomenon. But, that wasn't the only one. Another ripple of time and space opened up a few feet away from the first which caused more students and even teachers to go and look at the thing in the sky. "W-What's going on...?" The young girl looked at the strange happenings with a worried look on her face. Those things in the sky looked all too familiar like she's seen them from somewhere before. Yes. It was in the book her mother showed her once but she couldn't remember what they were called and why they suddenly appeared. "Nee..." The pokemon cried weakly, slipped out of Lillie's arms, and hovered slowly over to the pink haired girl. It knew there was something odd about her. She wasn't an ordinary human so the nebula pokemon tried communicating with her. "Nee nee." It told her that it was stressed and needed some much needed rest. | [attr="class","white"] [attr="class","night"] [attr="class","burstmini"]000 words [attr="class","burstmini"]shit just got real but seriously lemme know if you want me to change anything especially with the wormholes. i promise no UBs will come out of them especially Guzzlord. rip uwu |
